Etsuko Uji
Etsuko Uji is an art director and motion designer working in film and television.
Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, she studied economics and then relocated to the United States in 1999. While based in Los Angeles, she worked at studio yU+co creating motion and 3D graphics, title sequences, and commercial work for 15 years. She has contributed to title sequences for films including The Mothman Prophecies (2002), Bernard and Doris (2006), Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009), Yogi Bear (2010), Life of Pi (2012), The Leftovers (2014), and The Jungle Book (2016).
In 2008, she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her work on the titles to Bernard and Doris. She is now based in Tokyo, Japan.
